Some very early results with Augmented Reality (AR) on an iPhone 3G. This video shows an adaptation of the Parallel Tracking and Mapping system to an iPhone. All processing is done live on the phone.

Even though it can’t be AppStore, this would be amazing for research and internal applications. I second the plea for releasing a library! If you need testers or iphone-specific coding help, I and probably several others at my institution would? love to help
private beta, perhaps?

maybe an android one? I think they don’t have such restrictions for the cam, but maybe I am wrong. anyway this is? the thing I am waiting for to start programming on mobiles…

. Looks fantastic. It must have been lots of work adopting it. Does it still run in two threads? It looks like the number of points is reduced, but the tracking is still very stable. Well done. Is it going? to be featured at ISMAR this year as well?
